Lecturer/Course Manager Animal Management

Stewart Park Campus

Full Time, 37 hours per week, permanent role

£27,286 - £29,819 per annum

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England with centres in York, Middlesbrough, Saltaire, Wakefield and Newcastle. We offer a wide-ranging curriculum to our Further Education students, including Arboriculture, Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Management, Countryside and the Environment, Engineering, Equine, Floristry, Motorsport, Professional Tree Surgery, Outdoor Adventure Sport, Sports Development, Coaching and Fitness and Uniformed Public Services.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Animal Management Course Manager, based at our Stewart Park campus, set within exceptional grounds. This is a curriculum position, which has the opportunity to grow and develop as both the individual and Centre progress.

Reporting directly to the Programme Manager, the Course Manager will have direct responsibility of a cohort of Level 3 Animal Management students, as well as active responsibility for curriculum design and quality.

This post would ideally suit an experienced lecturer who is looking to step up into a more senior role, or an existing manager, looking to make a difference at an expanding Campus, in a beautiful location.

We define the values and qualities that we require from our people using the Askham Bryan College DNA. Hardwired in to what we do, our DNA strands ensure that all colleagues are committed to delivering with purpose, taking ownership, building trust and always learning.  We offer an inclusive, dynamic, challenging and rewarding place to work.

Our colleagues enjoy a range of generous benefits including 35 days annual leave (pro-rata) in addition to bank holidays, ample free parking, canteen facilities, support for continuous professional development, Teacher’s Pension and a range of employee benefits as well as the opportunity to work within spectacular grounds.

Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. For more information, please refer to the Job Description and person specification.
